The aim of the EMMAT Project “E-mobility and sustainable materials and technologies” is to develop solutions in the field of scientific cooperation, realized in the form of international academic partnerships between the Cracow University of Technology and foreign research centers.
The results of the project will form the basis for the development of long-term cooperation between the Cracow University of Technology and 22 organizations from France, Italy, Germany, Romania, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Malta, Iceland, Latvia, Ukraine, Portugal, Canada, Chile, Lebanon, Uruguay, Taiwan and India.
The idea of sustainable development of urban agglomerations requires a comprehensive approach and interdisciplinary operation. To this goal, the Cracow University of Technology in the EMMAT project plans to undertake research activities in the field of innovation and sustainable technologies. In this research, teams from: Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics, Faculty of Environmental and Power Engineering, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture, will participate and also partners from foreign research units with which the Cracow University of Technology successfully collaborates.
The aim of the project is to support cooperation within international academic partnerships, which will enable the development of the Cracow University of Technology and partners participating in the project. The project is part of the long-term strategy of creating strong, interdisciplinary research teams that carry out research, development and implementation projects at a regional, national and international level.
Research activities carried out under the EMMAT project will aim to preparation scientific publications of international scope, with particular emphasis on publications from the JCR list and open-access publications, increasing the scientific potential of the Cracow University of Technology as well as increasing the visibility of scientific research carried out at the CUT. Cooperation in the project will also include the organization of seminars and EMMAT2020 conference, which is an arena for the exchange of ideas, concepts and innovations between participating scientists, industry representatives and students interested in the subject of the project.
The project includes mobility to partner countries in the form of study visits, short research stays and conference trips - to 22 research units from 18 countries. This will increase the international mobility of scientists employed at the Cracow University of Technology by enabling them to conduct scientific research together with scientists from foreign research centers around the world. Thanks to academic exchange, young scientists, on which the project's activities focus, will have the opportunity to cooperate with teams from foreign universities. Such cooperation will enable them to expand their research competences and also to establish long-term cooperation. Joint research and development works carried out in cooperation with foreign partners constitute an important element of the EMMAT project. The undertaken research, publication and promotional activities are also intended to developing and submitting grant applications, which will be a continuation of research conducted under the project.
