On 25 November 2019 at Faculty of Architecture, Warszawska str. 24 room 9 The International Scientific Conference "Architecture 2050 - Chilean, Lebanese and Polish perspektive" will start.
On 23 May 2019 at 11:00 in the Institute of Building Materials and Structures, WIL PK, a scientific seminar on EMMAT E-mobility and sustainable materials and technologies was held. Project No. PPI / APM / 2018/1/00027
The seminar was attended by representatives of scientific units involved in the project and employees of the Institute of Building Materials and Structures. During the seminar was presented a research projects carried out in teams participating in the EMMAT project in the field of sustainable materials and technologies.
We would like to thank all the speakers and participants of the seminar!
A scientific international NAWA EMMAT workshop took place from April 4 to 6 at the premises of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIEiK), Cracow University of Technology, Kraków. Apart from the Faculty’s representatives, the key participants were the guests from the Brno University of Technology, Czechia, dr Michal Kubik and Ing. Filip Jenic, HES-SO Valais-Wallis, Institute of Systems Engineering, Sion, Switzerland, Prof. Dominique Gabioud and Prof. Claudia Martis, Technical University of CLUJ-Napoca, Romania. Throughout the workshop the partners highlighted their area of research and scientific interest and opportunities for collaboration and academic exchange. The Faculty’s representative proposed areas for the scientific collaboration in the areas of electrical engineering and smart materials. All participants declared willigness for future collaboration. As a result, Prof. Claudia Martis proposed establishing a so-called Eastern European Consortium of Electrical Engineering and E-Mobility whose members would be major technical universities of the former East European bloc. The partners agreed to submit two research grant proposals within the scope of the Horizon 2020 programme. Moreover, Prof. Dominique Gabioud proposed including Swiss commercial SME partners into the consortium and two-year doctorate/post-doc grants. The Romanian partner invited two researchers from Kraków to CLUJ-Napoca in order to perform measurements of dynamic characteristics of high-speed reluctance motors from 10.04.2019 to 25.04.2019. One measurable evidence of their collaboration will be research papers co-authored with researchers from CLUJ-Napoca, Romania, as well as the results will be included in PhD defens (double degree WIEiK-CLUJ) and habilitation papers (person from WIEiK done 30.04 br.). Another evidence was submission of a co-authored research paper to a renowned scientific journal. Moreover, a follow-up workshop was planned for the year of 2020 to take place in Brno. The meeting was very nice and fruitful, WIEiK presented the scope of substantive research and advanced research work of PhD students and assistants and showed new research and laboratory positions of the faculty, participants declared their willingness to continue cooperation and decided to meet their partner in Brno next year to deepen further R & D works on common new and innovative trends and directions of cooperation, eg. eco-mobility, smart material, electrology, elastomers.
